Alumni Association Minutes
November 6, 2002
Members Present:
Lease, Formby, Works, Duke, Brown
New Member Present:
Shirley Mays Ware
Members Absent:
McClerkin, Fritz, Sapaugh, Gray, Buchanan, Register
Old Business:
- Duke,
Brown, & Gray will work with Bill Roberts & Shelby Brown on
the 501c3 paperwork; hope to have this completed by the Christmas
break
- Articles
of Incorporation & Bylaws were approved by those present
New Business:
- Duke
will open checking account at CNB tomorrow; Duke & Sanderson
will be required signatures for any check written
- Donations
update: Cogbill: $25; Murphy: $500; Arnold: $500
- Annual
Membership Fee Structure approved by those present:
$10 recent graduate (5 yrs or fewer since graduation)
$25 to be a Hog (graduates, friends, family, faculty)
$100 to be a Big Hog
$500 to be a Silver Hog (corporate sponsors included here)
$1000 to be a Golden Hog
$10,000 to be a Super Hog
Consider:
Charter Memberships & Lifetime Memberships
- Brown,
Duke, and Lease will seek an internship student from one of the
programs at the high school to assist in data management

from January 22, 2003
Members Present:

Financial Report:
Report was handed out to members and expenses approved.
Old Business:
- 501c3
status: TIN was received on 1/22/03 and W-9 filed with CNB; decision
was made that we now need the services of a CPA rather than an
attorney; thank you note will be sent to Bill Roberts with our
payment for services rendered (see financial report for billing
information)
- Articles
of Incorporation and bylaws on file with Sec of State office
- CNB
is bank of record
New Business:
- Buchanan
working on window decals and a variety of other items to be used a
part of membership kit and items to sell at reunions, events, etc
- Upcoming
reunions have requested membership applications be on
hand…membership application was discussed and will be finalized
soon
- Purpose,
vision, mission discussed; Brown will send out samples for us to use
as guidelines
- Duke
and Brown will work with AHS print shop on stationary
- Membership
packets were discussed and will be finalized as pricing of items is
available
- Group
present authorized the expenditure of fees for basic operations to
include stationary needs, postage, printing, etc
- Duke
will speak at 2003 Commencement to welcome graduates to the
Association…applications for membership will be placed in diplomas
and 1st yr membership is free BUT each graduate must fill
out application
