Linda Hannibal Cleveland
Class of 1960
My “many lives” have taken me far and
wide from the halls of AHS.
During
the crazy 60’s, I worked as a Playboy Bunny, a “Go-Go dancer”, and for
five years, a ticket agent for American Airlines in NYC. I married and we had a
daughter and a son—during which time I owned a small clothing boutique in New
York. In early 1980’s, my husband died, and the children and I relocated back
to the area, settling in Dallas. I worked for the next 12 years for stock
brokers, eventually becoming licensed.
In 1993, I met my now husband, Earl, a nuclear engineer working with the Super
Collider government science project in Texas. In 1995, we relocated to San
Diego—he working for General Atomics, and me with Merrill Lynch. Earl’s work
took us to Belgium, where we lived for about six years. While there, we enjoyed
lots of cultural events—visiting nearby cities: Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona,
Berlin, and Florence, just to name a few.
Now, I am retired from the 9-5 work and manage our financial investments from
home. In the summer of 2007, we bought a home in the metro west suburbs of
Boston. Earl is VP of a new start-up company that is creating a proton beam
therapy system for treating cancer. We enjoy visits from our grown children: my
daughter in San Francisco, and my son & wife and our three beautiful grand
daughters in Connecticut. Earl’s daughter & husband visits from Toronto.
