My family loves the Arkansas School District. My brother, Lurry, was selected distinquished alumi.
My sister, Gayle, my husband, Bill Norton, my son, Billy Norton and myself, Betty have taught for this school district. I have taught over 28 years in the district and now work at Genoa School. My husband has been in the district for 33 years. My sister, Gayle has taught over 25 years in the district. My son Billy will begin teaching this year at AHS. My mother, Bevel Leavelle was a substitute for many years. My sister Joyce also substituted in the district before getting a full time position at Genoa School. My father Floyd Leavelle was AHS Band Booster President for many years. The Texarkana Arkansas School District will always have a special place in all of my family's heart.
