HIGH SCHOOL
· As a 1988 Graduate of Arkansas High School, Smith lettered twice in basketball, twice in football and once in baseball.
COLLEGE
· Rod set league records in career receiving yards (3,043)
and touchdowns (34) while at Missouri Southern.
· In 1994, he was named Missouri Southern's Outstanding
Graduate after completing his college studies with three degrees (economics and
finance, general business, and marketing and management).
BRONCOS
· Holds Denver's record for receiving touchdowns.
· Career Touchdowns, Broncos: Needs to score just one
touchdown to pass Terrell Davis (65) for first place on Denver's all-time career
touchdowns scored list.
· Career Receptions, NFL: He passed Charlie Joiner and
Michael Irvin for 16th place in NFL history in career receptions.
· Combined Yardage, Broncos: Needs 744 combined yards
(receiving/rushing/returns) to move from second to first place on Denver's
all-time career combined yards list.
· Has had over 10,000 yards receiving with the Broncos. He
passed Lance Alworth (10,280) into 20th place on the league's all-time receiving
yards list.
